Classification of round steel

Round steel is classified as hot rolled, forged and cold drawn. The specifications of hot rolled Round bars are 5.5-250 mm. Among them: 5.5-25 mm of small Round bars mostly supplied in bundles of straight bars, commonly used as reinforcement, bolts and various mechanical parts; greater than 25 mm of Round bars, mainly used in the manufacture of mechanical parts, seamless steel pipe billets, etc..

The difference between round steel and other steel bars.

  1. The appearance is not the same, Round bars appearance, no grain without ribs, other steel surface appearance has a carved pattern or rib, which causes the bond between Round bars and concrete is small, while other steel and concrete bond is large.
  2. The ingredients are not the same, round steel (a steel) belongs to the ordinary low carbon steel, other steel bars are mostly alloy steel.
  3. Strength is not the same, round steel strength is low, other steel strength is high, that is, the diameter of the same size of round steel compared with other steel, round steel can withstand the tension than other steel, but the plasticity of round steel than other steel, that is, round steel before being pulled off a large deformation, while other steel before being pulled off the deformation is much smaller

1. Heating method

In thermal processing, there are two common heating methods, one is local heating using acetylene flame, this method is simple, but the heating area is small. The other is heating in an industrial furnace, which is not as easy as the previous method, but has a large heating area. Considering the specific processing conditions and components, we use the acetylene flame heating method for heating.

2. Heating temperature range required when heating

When the parts are formed using hot work, the heating temperature should be controlled at 900 ~ 1000 ℃; carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel in the temperature down to 700 ℃ and 800 ℃ respectively before the end of processing. Heating temperature is too high, heating time is too long, will cause changes in the internal organization of the steel, damage the mechanical properties of the raw material material.

4. Bending process

After the steel has reached the specified temperature, the steel is formed and processed.

1, the minimum bending radius

Bending the radius of the corner should not be too large, nor too small; too large due to the impact of rebound, so that the accuracy of the component is not easily guaranteed, too small is easy to produce cracks.

2, bending operation precautions

  1.  according to the work required bending force, choose the appropriate pressure die.
  2. Formal bending before, must again check the workpiece number, size is consistent with the drawings, whether the material blank has a burr affecting the quality of pressing. For larger quantities of components, shall be installed to adjust the positioning of the block, found deviations should be timely adjustment of the position of the block.
  3. After the bending, the first pressed component must be checked and qualified before continuous pressing, and attention should be paid to intermediate spot checks during the work.

5. Protection of finished products

After forming the components, they are to be cooled naturally and protected.
